Service Terms

These terms set out the understanding between Bathwood Revival Workshop (“we”, “our”) and each client (“you”) for furniture restoration and related services. By sending an enquiry or confirming a project, you accept these terms as the basis for our cooperation.

Scope of Work

We agree to carry out restoration, refinishing, or repairs as described in our written estimate or message exchange. The methods, materials, and duration may vary according to the condition of the item. We keep you informed of any material change before proceeding further.

Assessment and Estimates

All estimates are given in good faith, based on visual inspection and information supplied. Final costs can change if additional issues become visible after dismantling or cleaning. We will always contact you for approval before undertaking any extra work.

Timescales

Restoration involves variable drying times and material behaviour. While we aim to meet indicated completion periods, these should be seen as realistic targets, not strict guarantees. Delays due to weather, material supply, or workshop scheduling will be communicated promptly.

Payment

Payment is due upon completion or as otherwise stated in our estimate. We accept common UK payment methods (bank transfer or cash). Invoices include our registered business details. Work remains property of Bathwood Revival Workshop until payment is received in full.

Collection and Delivery

Clients are responsible for safe delivery and collection unless separate arrangements are confirmed. If we assist with transport, it is at cost and under reasonable care. We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by third-party couriers.

Condition of Items

We handle each item with care, yet aged materials can behave unpredictably. Minor movement, finish variation, or exposure marks may appear naturally after work. These are normal outcomes of restoration and part of the material’s life.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of correction or refund for the specific work carried out. We are not responsible for indirect loss, sentimental value, or unrelated damage occurring after collection.

Data and Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy & Data Notes. We keep communication records only for service fulfilment and legal compliance.

Copyright and Images

Photographs of your item may be used for documentation or workshop records. We will request permission before using any identifiable image publicly.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be handled in local civil courts situated nearest to Bath.
